Language is made of vocabulary, whether you agree or not this is the fact! Vocabulary can be categorized into two broad headings: (i) Active Vocabulary and (ii) Passive Vocabulary

Active vocabulary is the group of words that you use on a daily basis and passive vocabulary are words that you would come across when you are in a native-English speaking environment.

Writing is passive speaking. So, even this particular aspect of the English language needs to be refined as a skill. If you want to write well then you need to come out of the ‘thinking’ mode and actually pick up a pen and paper and start writing. It is as simple as that. Just as one cannot learn swimming by simply staring at the patch of pool one cannot learn writing by staring at a paper and pen. One needs to ‘write’, ‘write’ and ‘write’ and that’s all!

Listening has evolved as one of the primary and major language learning skills. Listen! Listen! Listen! When you listen to the spoken English then you get the chance to develop your own English Language. When you listen to some piece of information with keen interest then you can infer what’s been said. When I say keen interest it means a total undivided interest. Only then can you call yourself an active listener.
